An American servicemen in South Korea is accused of raping an 18-year-old South Korean woman. Kurt Campbell, the assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs, gave his condolences today. Washington’s sensitivity over the matter has been showing. President Obama has a meeting scheduled with the head of South Korea for later this week.

It’s disturbing that somebody would do such a thing while in another country, on a mission to help that country. It’s immoral and hard to believe. I feel sorry for that girl, and think this man should be punished. I understand D.C.’s plans to be sensitive about this topic; the last thing we need is another war.
